Program 

The season normally runs approximately early April through mid June and may be a traveling league playing games in northern Middlesex County and Franklin Township.  The season runs approximately early April through mid June.

Volunteer coaches

Volunteer coaches are needed. To apply, please contact Recreation@PiscatawayNJ.org to request an electronic application. Volunteer coaches must pass a fingerprinting and background check.

General information

It is your responsibility to keep the Recreation office updated on any address change or contact information.  Correspondence will be sent via e-mail to Parent/Guardian #1 on the registration and you should share it with Parent/Guardian #2 and the emergency contact person.

Piscataway residents ages 13, 14, and 15 are eligible.  Players must turn 13 before September 1, 2024 and cannot turn 16 until after August 31, 2024.  The league will be comprised of one division in which 13-, 14-, and 15-year-olds will compete together.  All players, whether new or returning, must register.  All registered players regardless of skill level will be placed on teams according to a player draft.
(valid birthdays fall between 9/1/2008-8/31/2019).

All 13-year-olds and new players must provide a copy of their birth certificate.  Please e-mail it as an attachment to Recreation@PiscatawayNJ.org or mail it to the Recreation Department, Piscataway Township, 455 Hoes Lane, Piscataway, NJ 08854 and indicate on it that it is for Junior Baseball.

How to register: 1) Click the button below.  2) Complete the online registration form.  3) Hit Submit.  You will receive a confirmation number letting you know that your registration was submitted.  Please note that you will not receive an e-mail confirmation.

Protective Eyewear

It is now mandatory in New Jersey for all school aged youth that wear corrective eyewear while participating in recreation programs and activities to wear “Protective Eyewear” that meets American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) standards for frames and American National Standards Institute (ASNI) standards for lenses.

Liability/Accidents

Participants in Piscataway Recreation sponsored events do so at their own risk and accept full responsibility for all their actions and injuries incurred by their participation.  Prior to submitting a claim to the Township, injured parties must first use their own medical/accident insurance as their primary coverage.  The insurance offered by Piscataway Township is supplemental and secondary only.  If a claim qualifies for consideration, the Township insurance is limited to a maximum payout of no more than $5,000.00 per accident.

Accident Reporting

Coach must report the accident to the Recreation Office immediately. Recreation will provide parent/guardian with an accident report that must be completed within twenty-four (24) hours after the accident and returned in-person to the Recreation office.  All claims must be submitted with original bills that are not covered by private insurance.
