Emergency medical services

Piscataway Township improved EMS in our community by choosing Hackensack Meridian Health JFK for 24-hour-a-day ambulance service. Learn more by watching this discussion between Piscataway Township Police Department leaders and an HMH JFK official.

The Township Council took a much needed step to standardize and unify EMS services that our community utilizes to provide life-saving care to the residents of Piscataway. The Council awarded a competitive contract to Hackensack Meridian for 24-hour, 7 days-a-week, 365 days-a-year coverage to the entire Township. As always, the decision lies with the patients and their families as to which medical facility that they want to be transported.

This new contract mandates that three ambulances be stationed within the Township at all times. This upgrade of services better aligns all of our first responders into one team that communicates seamlessly and serves capably.

We are excited that this relationship began with Hackensack Meridian in early September 2021.  For important insight from Piscataway Township Police Department Chief Thomas Mosier, please click here.
