Special Needs Registration

Important Information on Piscataway’s Special Needs Registration Program

 Dear Piscataway Resident:

In order to assist our most vulnerable residents during an emergency, the township has developed a voluntary Special Needs Registration Program. The intention of this program is to create a confidential database that can be accessed by the Office of Emergency Management during emergencies so we can effectively assist those in our community who may require outside assistance.

Some examples of situtions that could arise that would compromise the safety and welfare of our most vulnerable residents and require assistance from the Office of Emergency Management include, but are not limited to, gas leaks, hazardous spills, fire, flooding, storm damage, or power failures.

We encourage the participation of all residents, regardless of age,  who are ill, frail, homebound, bedbound, wheelchair bound, or using life sustaining treatments or oxygen.  We ask that you complete a separate registration form for each person in the household with special needs.

If you would like to participate in the Special Needs Registration Program, you can access a survey form by clicking on the one of the links at the end of this letter. Completed survey forms should be return to:

Please contact Linda Marrero at (732-562-1133) if you or someone you know, is currently registered as a Special Needs person and has had a change in their circumstance or should be removed from the database. We will gladly assist you if need help filling out the needs survey form.
