Information about Piscataway Senior Center and Membership Requirements
PISCATAWAY SENIOR CENTER
The Piscataway Senior Center is a Community Focal Point where Adults 60 years old and over can come together for services and activities that reflect their experience, enhance their dignity, support their independence and encourage their participation in the center and the community. The Township of Piscataway is proud to provide services to our senior residents through the Department on Aging.
Senior Center Hours of Operation
Monday and Thursdays 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Saturday 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Piscataway Township and the Middlesex County Office on Aging provide financial support to our facility and its programs.
A Nutrition program is offered Monday through Friday for breakfast and lunch service and delivery to the frail and homebound of our community.
Transportation is available to enrolled members by calling (732) 743-2218 24 hours in advance or by signing up at the Senior Center.
Membership Criteria
To become a member of the Piscataway Senior Center, participate in building programs or utilize the transportation system the following criteria must be met:
- An applicant must be age 60 or older. Applicant must provide and verify their age by one of the following documents: Birth Certificate, passport, social security card, driver’s license. Medicaid card or any other approved sealed official document.
- An applicant must be a Piscataway Resident. A permanent resident is defined as a person living in Piscataway for six or more months. One of the following documents with the applicants’ name and address on it will be used to verify residency: A driver’s license, tax bill, utility bill, visitor’s visa or confirmation from an approved official agency such as Medicare, social security.
