PISCATAWAY TOWNSHIP BREAKFAST PROGRAM:
Breakfast is served Monday through Friday from 7:30 – 9:30 a.m. at the Senior Center. This Program satisfies both a social and nutritional need for our membership and is free of charge. It is a varied menu of hot and cold breakfast food items and is supplemented by product donations from local vendors.
PISCATAWAY TOWNSHIP MEALS ON WHEELS
This is a home delivered meal program that delivers two nutritious meals at noon, Monday through Friday to those whose physical, mental, or social conditions preclude them from preparing adequate meals for themselves. It is funded through a grant from the Middlesex County Office on Aging. We serve Piscataway residents who are homebound and 60 years of age or older. The suggested donation amount for this program is $2.75 a day per meal but there is a sliding fee scale based on one’s ability to pay. A home evaluation is done for each client to determine their eligibility and client status. Referrals are made to other area agencies based on client’s needs. Our program is able to serve 50 clients. PISCATAWAY SENIOR CENTER NUTRITION SITE
Piscataway Senior Center is a Nutrition Site that offers for purchase one hot meal five days a week that is served at 11:30 a.m. The meal can be purchased for a suggested cost of $2.25 payable by check to the Senior Meal Program. Reservations must be made 24 hours in advance by calling our site at (732)743-9844.
ADDITIONAL NUTRITION PROGRAMS
The F.I.S.H. Organization will also provide food and/or clothing to those with limited resources in need of emergency assistance. Fish is located at 456 New Market Road, Piscataway. Fish also has a food bank at this location. You must be registered with Fish and live in the towns of Piscataway, Dunellen, Middlesex and South Plainfield to be eligible.
