CLEANUP BY APPOINTMENT PROGRAM
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The cleanup by appointment program is designed to assist homeowners with the pickup of large bulky items that are difficult for them to bring to the Township Recycling/Trash Center.

Each household is permitted TWO trash pickups by appointment per year and ONE brush appointment per year.

Pickups are not scheduled for places of business or multi-family dwellings.
PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THAT WHEN CALLING FOR AN APPOINTMENT, THEY ARE ASSIGNED BASED ON AVAILABILITY AND MAY BE SCHEDULED 4-8 WEEKS FROM THE DATE YOU CALL.
The office hours are 7:30 am to 4:30 pm
RULES FOR TRASH PICKUP BY APPOINTMENT

All debris must be at the curb no sooner than the night before and not later than 7:00 am on the date scheduled. (6:00 a.m. in July and August).

The following items will NOT be picked up: grass clippings, leaves, kitchen garbage, concrete, rock, dirt, recyclables, hazardous waste and chippable brush.

Debris generated by home improvement contractors will NOT be picked up.

We WILL pickup used appliances, furniture, carpeting, etc.

Please package debris in boxes, bags or tie into bundles, making it no heavier than 50 Ibs. Lumber must be no longer than 4 ft. and TIED.

Doors MUST be removed from refrigerators and freezers.

No more than 2 tires are allowed per pickup.

No more than five cubic yards of debris will be picked up. That’s approximately the size of 2½ office desks.

If you wish to cancel your appointment, it must be done within 24 hours of your scheduled date or it will count as one of your pickups.
RULES FOR BRANCH PICKUP BY APPOINTMENT
BRANCHES PUT AT THE CURB MUST BE TIED WITH STRING.
The bundles must be tied no wider than 1 foot in diameter.
Please stack bundles neatly at the curb.
2.* We will not take any branches, logs, roots or stumps longer than 5 feet in length and no wider than 4 inches in diameter.
*Restrictions are imposed by the MCIA in compliance with the NJ DEP permit.
3. Any bundles containing construction type wood, metal, or any foreign objects WILL NOT be picked up.
Please make the pile no longer than 10 ft. in length, 5 ft. deep, and 4 ft. high.
LEAF BAG PICKUP
The biodegradable paper bags (FOR LEAVES ONLY) will be available in the Public Works garage in mid October.
Leaf Bags may be put at the curb for pickup in mid-October.
Leaves must be in biodegradable paper bags. Loose leaves or leaves in plastic bags will not be picked up. Appointments are not needed for Leaf Bag pickup.
