A Message From the Chief of Police Scott L. Cartmell

As members of the Piscataway Township Police Department, our mission is to provide a professional community-orientated police service.  We are committed to creating and maintaining an active community partnership and assisting citizens in identifying and solving problems to improve the quality of lives in our neighborhoods. We are dedicated to protecting life, property, maintaining order, preventing as well as deterring crime and the fear of crime, while assuring fair and impartial enforcement of the law to everyone.

We accomplish our mission to serve the public with honesty, integrity and professionalism.  I am extremely proud of our Police Department and honored to lead the men and women who are dedicated to our residents to provide the best police services possible.  Without the assistance of the community, we cannot effectively impact crime rates and positively affect the quality of life within our community. The Piscataway Township Police Department strives to establish and maintain relationships with members of our community in order to ensure that their needs are met as it relates to law enforcement and crime prevention.
