Health Department

The following is a list of services provided by the Health Department

The Piscataway Township Department of Health is a full service local public health department that provides a modern and manageable array of public health services to the residents of Piscataway Township under the direction of the New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services. These services are in conformance with The Local Health Services Act ( NJSA 26:3A2-1 ) and The Public Health Practice Standards of Performance for Local Boards of Health in New Jersey ( NJAC Title 8, Chapter 52 )

In addition to Health, the department provides services in Vital Statistics and Animal Control. All services are provided directly by the department with the exception of Nursing and Animal Shelter services which are provided by contract. The Health Department also works in conjunction with the Senior Citizen’s Center in providing many health-related programs.
